I am personally connected to many thousands of women around the world that have been impacted negatively through having, or having had, breast implants – both silicone and saline.
It’s just pretty ridiculous that there is still any denial about the potential health implications from breast implants. Almost laughable really .. except for the fact that so many women are left suffering through the prevailing arrogance and ignorance within the medical community. Not to paint all doctors with the same brush though, as there are more and more doctors that are understanding the connection.
As there came a point where it was no longer possible to deny a correlation to tobacco related illness, similarly there can be no denying the negative impact of breast implants.
I have silicone in multiple lymph nodes and in my breasts and surrounding tissue, even after having my badly ruptured implants removed. I live with chronic acute pain and silicone related illness. I had silicone soaked muscles removed, including my left pec and between my ribs. I have silicone up to, and possibly now in my lungs. The silicone in me will continue to migrate. A woman recently had silicone that had migrated from her breast implants removed from her vulva. Migrated silicone, especially in lymph nodes is common, even with the ‘new’ supposedly ‘safe’ implants. Mold in saline implants is common. Granulomas. Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (ALCL). Autoimmune illnesses. Rashes. Multiple benign growths. Lipomas. Endocrine related issues. On and on …
The FDA and Health Canada are very aware of all of these issues. In Canada, Breast Implants have Health Canada’s highest risk rating.

ALL of the women that had these implants within them were told their illness couldn’t be related to their breast implants!
Women with breast implants that become ill are all too familiar with this scenario. Despite red flag signs and symptoms many doctors continue to deny breast implants make women sick. On explant their implants tell a very different tale!
Rupture … mold … silicone in lymph nodes … necrotized tissue … granulomas … infection … calcification … silicone hypersensitivity … autoimmune illnesses … on and on.

Breast augmentation will not resolve the inner beliefs that lead one to undergo cosmetic surgery. Ultimately, doing the hard work that leads to emotional healing is the only path to sustained happiness and well-being. Breast implants are a temporary ‘fix’ … they are really just a distraction from the inner belief that we are not enough as we are.

BREAST IMPLANTS CAN BE COLD, like having a cold gel pack over your heart and lungs
On my 6-week follow-up appointment after breast augmentation I asked the plastic surgeon if my implants were going to freeze.
I used to have to wear vests and cover my breasts with my hands to warm them up. I would feel hypothermic; my body temperature was always low. Even through the night I’d wake multiple times and have to warm my breasts so I could be comfortable enough to fall back to sleep. Often I’d feel a tad fluish and realize that it was actually because my implants were so cold.
In a survey of women with breast implants, approximately 85% of the women stated their implants were really cold.

At the time the photo (wearing belly dance costume) was taken I’d long ago developed the listed complications, and more not listed. My breasts had the telltale look of being fake and misshapen. I see it all the time in photos in the media. Images that are supposed to be glamorizing large breasts, but if one is ‘seeing with awareness’ it’s easy to spot the unnaturally rounded, defined edge of the implants, especially if there’s capsular contracture. Anyone familiar with breast implants can spot them a mile away. There is nothing glamorous or ‘sexy’ about the destructive changes going on inside the chest wall! There are ALWAYS destructive changes and ALL breast implants FAIL.
Photos of my implants with telltale signs of capsular contracture and other destructive changes within my chest wall:
As is typical in photos of women with implants, most notably in the media, implants can sit as ‘events’ on top of a woman’s chest. They shouldn’t be glamorized, they should be called-out (‘they’ being implants) for the damage they’re doing within. If you see a photo of someone with implants that look like this you can know inside the chest wall things are looking pretty gnarly.

Picture these when you see someone with breast implants … picture them inside their body.
